My Project
Sensory play is so important for our students.
These sensory bins will allow my Pre-K students to explore and learn through hands-on tactile play that engages their senses.
Sensory bins can increase hand strength as children stir, scoop, dig and pour. They also support social skills, such as taking turns, teamwork, cooperation and communication.
Our students will get to dig and play in different kinds of fillers and materials while talking to their friends about what they’re doing and what they’re feeling and experiencing. Sensory bins also offer great language development experiences for our students, not to mention it can be a calming area for our students as well.
The bins are easy to change out regularly, reflecting the different themes of study each week in our classroom. Included are mini sensory bins, kinetic sand, sensory bin enhancements (molds, cars, animals etc.) our students will be able to explore.
