An attorney for Alexander Hamilton said yesterday he didn't know if the company would enter its own bid in order to keep the building if other bids aren't high enough.

To obtain clear title to the building, a buyer would bave to bid at least two-thirds of the $3,564,591 figure needed to meet the full debt, which includes interest and other costs. Required also is a cash deposit. The building was designed as headquarters for the Life Insurance Co. of Kentucky, but that company subsequently was merged into Alexander Hamilton, based in Farmington, Mich. In Juns 1971, the insurance company sold the building for $3.8 million to H.

M. Dunn president of the Louisville based American Building Loan Association, which has since been placed in receivership and declared insolvent. Alexander Hamilton foreclosed on Dunn's mortgage, claiming an unpaid balance of more than $3 3 million. Dunn contended that he bought Riverview Square as, an agent for American, which had put some $700,000 into a down payment and other expenses on the building. The American receivership has obtained $75,000 from Alexander Hamilton as part of a settlement of complex legal rlaimi arhing from the Dunn transaction.

Three appraisers have set the value of Riverview Square, which still requires s-me interior work, at $3,855,000. An appraisal made in connection with the receivership case set values ranging from $2.75 million in a "distress" sale to $3.3 million in a more favorable sale to a "single user." An appraisal made for Alexander Hamilton indicated that the building was worth $4,515,000. z25 15 52 39 61 5 72 16 2 14 45 5 1 41 54 118 15 13 41 zlOO 1 10 75 4 9 81 54 4 63 60 17 1 65 35 5 15 10 413 255 6 57 5 3 1 2' 44 504 56 2 l6'a '4 6'4 3H-'i 2s 3 Vt 17J 8'a li 10 N'i 'J 8 '1 I 'a-') Ua Va 48 "Ha 53'i 128 ll'4-H 5'4 14 Vt 1H i'-B '-a 5 14 8Vjv, 46 19'i 32'iv, 16 i 10'i-V, 2'8 '-'8 12', 'a 6'.
